MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission of CareNet Pregnancy Centers, an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ, is promoting pre-marital abstinence by equipping parents and teens to live lives of purpose, ministering to women in unplanned pregnancies and providing life support to women and families through education and resources.

VISION STATEMENT:

Christ-centered Ministry

Christ is the head of the ministry.  We are committed to sharing the love and compassion of Christ, as well as, the truth of His Word with all those that we serve.  Presenting the gospel in word and deed is paramount to our mission.  Board, staff, and volunteers represent Christ to everyone impacted by the ministry. We commit to be faithful stewards of what God has entrusted to us through consistent prayer, responsible planning, accountability to our supporters, and wise use of resources in our communities.

Equipping parents and teens to live lives of purpose

The culture that teens encounter on a daily basis stands in direct opposition to a godly, healthy lifestyle.  CareNet is committed to providing teens and their parents with the information, support systems and tools they need to live lives of purpose and integrity honoring God.  Pearls and Bravehearts provide pre-teens (8 to 12 yrs), teens (13 to 18 yrs), and college students (19 to 23 yrs) with Biblical truths related to premarital abstinence, godly lifestyles and decision making skills.  Teaching parents about the pressures and temptations that their young people face and equipping them to deal with the issues of our time is a central role of these programs.  We are committed providing a healthy environment for positive peer groups to immerge.

Ministering to women in unplanned pregnancies

CareNet understands that when we have the honor of standing at a crisis point with a precious woman faced with an unplanned pregnancy that it is an extremely intimate, personal place.  Our staff and volunteers are to be gentle, not manipulative or coercive in presenting factual information to our clients related to fetal development, parenting, adoption, abortion procedures and risks and premarital abstinence.  The Centers uphold the sanctity of life and never refer for abortion.  CareNet offers an ultrasound to every client with a positive pregnancy test in order to foster the maternal bond and understanding.  We are committed to help women carry their babies to term by providing emotional and practical help.

Providing Life Support

CareNet desires to support each client as she deals with life following a pregnancy, whatever the outcome.  We are committed to helping victims of abortions as well as others who are hurting from pregnancy loss to become recipients of the Lord’s healing balm.  CareNet also supports mothers and families who chose life through our benevolence ministry and many spiritual and educational programs to equip them for parenthood.

Under ideal circumstances, pregnancy is a joy for a mother and other family members. Unfortunately, in our day and time, many pregnancies evolve as a time of uncertainty. Physical, emotional, economic, social, or untimely circumstances transform pregnancy into a crisis.

The CPC exists to aid women who may not be aware of their alternatives, by providing information, encouragement, practical help and counsel as they sort through their anxieties and fears.

The CPC, a locally organized and funded nonprofit 501-C3 ministry, is governed by a local board of directors and managed by an executive director who carries out the activities of the CPC through a staff of volunteers. We rely upon continued support of Amarillo and the area’s Christian communities to minister as the Lord leads.
