TWO NEW CLASSES FOR DADS!

*DR. DAD*

Monthly classes will be taught by Faye Usala Each Father upon completion of the program will gain the ability to respond to the immediate needs of his child, the ability to quickly and confidently respond to a medical emergency, the ability to know when to seek professional medical assistance for his child, the knowledge that he can have a positive impact of the daily life of his child, an appreciation of the father-child bond and enhanced parenting skills.

This class will be offered in two locations our NE Branch 706 N Polk taught by Hal Rogers on Wednesday nights and at the Medi-park branch 6709 Woodward taught by Randy and Tammy Voight Tuesday nights at 7:00p.m. The 24/7 Dad program supports the growth and development of fathers and children as caring compassionate people who treat themselves, others and the environment with respect and dignity.

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN

May 11th, 2008 this is a fundraising campaign that is so simple, yet has been such a financial blessing to us. Bottles are distributed and or can be picked up on Mothers day May 11th, at our office at 6709 Woodward in Amarillo take your bottle home fill up with cash and change and return to the center on Fathers Day.

For young mothers. It's a chance to discuss issues that are unique to YOU.

PREPARED CHILDBIRTH CLASSES

These are free monthly classes given by a local pediatrician and certified childbirth instructors. There are five sessions including childbirth techniques, breastfeeding, and bible study. BABY SAFETY CLASSES

Classes meet every other month. This class covers basic baby safety subjects including has how to take a newborns temperature, how to know when to take your newborn to the doctor... at the end of the class participants will take home a new car seat and there will be a certified car seat installer on hand to show proper installation techniques.

DAUGHTERS OF THE KING

Every Wednesday at 11:00a.m. NE Branch 706 N Polk.

Bible study for Women understanding that they are not the daughter of just any king, but the KING of kings, the creator of this universe, the Great ‘I AM’, the God Most High, the All-Sufficient One, the Alpha and Omega. As a ‘daughter of the King’, we must learn to claim our position.  But first we must come to a clear understanding of:

          Who we are in Christ and

          What we possess as His child.

SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE SUNDAY

We commemorate the annual celebration of the Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. This is a nationally recognized day which celebrates the immeasurable value of life.

SAMARITAN OF THE MONTH

These are Civic Groups, Organizations, Companies, and Churches who commit to gathering diapers, formula, baby clothing, etc. for one specific month of the year. They advertise to their group for this particular month and provide a collection spot for gathered items. After items are collected they are then delivered to CareNet. This has been an incredible, as well as, a crucial program in providing consistent resources to our clients.

WALK FOR LIFE

Two Walk locations this year! Amarillo and Canyon

Walk 2 miles from Care Net 6709 Woodward, Amarillo around Medi-Park and back, or

3301 4th Avenue in Canyon (the First United Bank Center formally the WT Event Center) Bring your friends your neighbor your pet and join us for a great time. Face painting, food, and bounce houses will be available for kids. You do not have to collect any money, we will collect the money by mail. With $150.00 in pledges you will receive a T-Shirt.

- The Care Net Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Amarillo and the Donut Stop want to offer you the opportunity to support Care Net Amarillo operations and appease your sweet tooth... all at the same time. “Diapers and Donuts” if you please!

The new fundraiser works as follows. The Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Amarillo are selling value cards which can be used at the Donut Stop. Two different cards are available for purchase.

 

A $10.00 value card entitles the holder to buy 12 donuts, get 12 free! The card can be used a maximum of six times, and is good at all locations.

The $5.00 value card entitles the holder to get a dozen donut holes free! (Limit one dozen holes per visit.) This card can be used up to twelve times and is good at all locations. Note: This card is a favorite for moms with pre-school children!!

This fund raiser is a real blessing! One hundred percent of the revenue raised in the sale of cards goes to support CareNet Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Amarillo operations. Thus the name, Diapers and Donuts!

Please consider the purchase of a card today. They can’t be beat if you are hosting a Bible Study; or you wish to enliven the social setting at Church, Office Parties, etc.
